Guide to Catching Tinkatink, Tinkatuff, and Tinkaton in Pokemon GO: Shiny Variations Explained

The highly anticipated arrival of Tinkatink and its evolved forms, Tinkatuff and Tinkaton, is set for April 16, 2025, as part of the exciting The Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event. This special event will kick off at 10:00 AM local time and conclude on April 22, 2025, at 8:00 PM. Trainers will have the chance to explore these new Pokémon and add them to their collections.

Tinkaton, along with its pre-evolutions, debuted in the Generation IX games, marking their first appearance in the Paldea region. As dual Fairy/Steel-type Pokémon, they bring unique strengths to trainers, particularly Tinkaton, who can unleash the formidable Steel-type move known as Gigaton Hammer upon reaching its final evolution.

This guide will provide essential information on how players can catch Tinkatink and evolve it into Tinkatuff and Tinkaton in Pokémon GO.

How to Obtain Tinkatink, Tinkatuff, and Tinkaton in Pokémon GO

  • Hatch Tinkatink from 7km eggs during The Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event; after the event, it will appear in 10km eggs.
  • Participate in Paid Timed Research activities.
  • Engage in trading with fellow players.

Hatching Eggs

During the event, players can hatch Tinkatink from special 7km eggs. Following the conclusion of the event, it will become available in 10km eggs. To evolve Tinkatink into Tinkatuff, trainers will need 25 Candy. Subsequently, another 100 Candy will be required to evolve Tinkatuff into Tinkaton.

Participating in Paid Timed Research

For a fee of $4.99 (or equivalent local currency), players can unlock event-exclusive Timed Research that includes the opportunity to encounter Tinkatink. Additional premium rewards available through this research include:

  • An Incubator to assist with egg-hatching
  • A themed pose featuring Tinkaton’s hammer for in-game avatars

Trading Options

If you miss out on hatching Tinkatink during the event, consider trading with other players to obtain one.
