Originating from the Galar region found in the Pokémon Sword and Shield games, Nickit is a Dark-type Pokémon, known for its mischievous nature. Players should note that, at launch, the shiny variant of Nickit will not be available in the game.

How to Capture Nickit in Pokémon GO

Wild Encounters

During the Deep Depths event, which runs from 10 AM on March 19 to 8 PM on March 24, 2025, trainers will have the chance to encounter Nickit in the wild. Although Nickit will be a relatively rare sighting, exploring different locations may increase your chances of finding it.

Without any weather-related boosts, Nickit’s maximum Combat Power (CP) will be 612 at level 30. These encounters do not have a minimum IV requirement; however, in foggy weather, wild Nickit will display base IVs of 4/4/4, with a maximum CP of 663.

Egg Hatches

Players can hatch Nickit from 7 km Eggs during the Pokémon GO Deep Depths event. All Nickit obtained through this method will be at level 20, with CP ranging from 370 to 408. The IVs for these Pokémon will range between 10/10/10 and 15/15/15. Notably, all eggs incubated during this event will benefit from a reduced hatch distance of half.

Research Task Rewards

Participating in Research tasks is another method to secure Nickit in Pokémon GO. During the Deep Depths event, both Field and Timed Research tasks will offer Nickit as a reward. All obtained Nickit through research will be at level 15, with IVs from 10/10/10 to 15/15/15, leading to a CP range of 278 to 306.
