On December 4, fans learned that Jackson had postponed the Beijing stop for his ongoing “MAGIC MAN”world tour, according to a post made on Weibo.
The post elaborated that the cancellation was due to Jackson’s health condition and that a new date would be announced soon on a separate time.
“Due to Mr. Jackson Wang’s health reasons, we decided to postpone the Jackson Wang ‘MAGIC MAN WORLD TOUR 2023 – 2023’ stop in Beijing, which was originally scheduled for December 2 at HUAXI LIVE·WUKESONG.”
“This decision was also derived from factors such as the performance quality and other factors, as well as our wish to present the best stages. We shall announce the new date as soon as possible.”
However, what caught everyone’s attention the most was Jackson and his company’s initiative to cover all expenses made by those who were set to attend his concert, including their travel costs. The announcement then relayed specific instructions for the refunding.
“To everyone who traveled all the way to Beijing from other places to watch the performance, we shall compensate the losses caused by the postponement. Please provide documentation of expenses that matches the ticket holder’s name.”
“We offer our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience. If you would like to request compensation, please provide the relevant details according to the following information.
1. Explanation of the compensation
a. Types of expenses applicable for compensation: Airplane ticket, train ticket (limited to 1-3 Dec 2023), hotel accommodations in Beijing, doesn’t include external fees regarding food, entertainment, and taxi fares.
b. Limits to compensation of expenses: Train tickets to be compensated fully.
- Domestic airplane ticket: not more than 2,000 rmb per person per trip
- International airplane ticket: not more than 5,000 rmb per person per trip
- Hotel accommodations in Beijing: not more than 800 rmb per person per night.”
