Earlier on December 15, Cube Entertainment officially announced Minnie’s temporary break from all group activities.
This was due to a preceding incident on December 12, when Minnie left the stage mid-performance at the “Jingle Ball 2023 in Philadelphia.”
The agency shared the news on the platform Weverse and expressed that the reason for Minnie’s withdrawal was due to sudden health difficulties. To fully recover her health, it was concluded Minnie would halt her group schedules as per medical advice.

“Hello. This is Cube Entertainment.
We would like to announce the health status of (G)I-DLE member Minnie and her scheduled activities in the future. On December 12, Minnie abruptly left the stage during the performance of ‘Jingle Ball 2023 in Philadelphia’ due to sudden health difficulties.
Minnie was determined to finish the performance and be with fans until the end. However, we decided to take immediate action for the sake of her health. According to the professional advice of medical staff, it was decided to let Minnie recover fully.
We appreciate your kind consideration, and we will give our best efforts to ensure our artist’s good health condition.
Thank you.”
However, on December 17, Minnie updated fans for the first time since the incident through several pictures on her Instagram Stories. The caption wrote:
“I’m sorry this was a little late on my part hehe. I’m currently getting a lot better now, so please don’t worry, Neverver (Neverland’s nickname)! Please take good care of your health everyone and don’t get sick.”
Minnie’s uploaded photos on her Stories and feed are both from the Day 2 of the 2023 MAMA Awards, which took place on November 29, at the Tokyo Dome, in Japan.
