The pressing question on every gamer’s mind is, “Is Fortnite fixed yet?” Unfortunately, the answer is a definitive no. As of now, Fortnite continues to grapple with significant issues, especially after the latest update issued by Epic Games at 11:42 PM Eastern Time on March 28, 2025. As I write this, the servers have been down for more than four hours, leaving countless players unable to access the game.
A technical glitch has erased the user interface (UI) within the Discovery Tab, which is vital for players to select their preferred game modes. This has led to widespread frustration among the gaming community.
Will Fortnite’s Issues Be Resolved Before Dawn in the Eastern Time Zone?
The urgency of the current situation leaves players in the dark regarding the timing of resolution. Unlike past issues that revolved around matchmaking errors, this latest setback centers on a fundamental aspect of gameplay: the missing UI for matchmaking.
Epic Games has issued the following statement regarding the ongoing issue:
“We’re working to fix an issue where players are unable to matchmake or select games in the lobby. We’ll provide an update once this has been resolved.”
Despite their earlier communication, there has been little progress. Compounding the frustration, Epic Games has also delayed the OCE Div Cup Final, with plans to announce a new date later.
It is evident that the issue persists across all platforms, affecting a wide array of players. While some enthusiasts speculate that the recent update v34.20 might be a contributing factor to these troubles, this is likely not the case, as the game had been functioning seamlessly since its rollout on March 25, 2025. This anomaly appears to be unrelated to the update.
As noted earlier, Fortnite servers remain down today, March 29, 2025. Players eager for resolution will need to be patient, as Epic Games has promised to provide updates as soon as more information is available. Until then, the community must wait for the developers to rectify the issues.
