Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 “Myths and Mortals” is bringing back medallions from Season 1 with four new advantage types.
In Chapter 5 Fortnite introduced medallions by eliminating NPCs across the map. Players could collect these medallions and utilize them for shield regeneration, albeit at the expense of disclosing their position on the map.
Outside of the shield regeneration, the medallions were mostly a good way of attracting enemies to the player’s position. However, with the new season, there will only be four medallions this time.
Here are all of the new medallions coming with the latest season, how to obtain them, and what effects they will have on the player.
All Fortnite medallions and their effects
The four medallions will introduce unique effects never before added to Fortnite. To acquire each medallion, players must eliminate characters inspired by Greek mythology related to that specific medallion.

Aspect of Combat
Defeating the Ares NPC allows players to obtain the Aspect of Combat, a medallion inspired by Ares. Upon retrieval, the medallion will grant long-distance weapons with increased damage.
Aspect of Siphon
Inspired by Hades, this medallion carries a similar effect to its predecessors when a player in possession of it is killed – the medallion is dropped and can be picked up by another player. When obtained, the Aspect of Siphon will grant the player with a siphon healing effect after enemy eliminations.
Aspect of Agility
Thanks to Cerberus, the Aspect of Agility medallion will grant players who have it in their possession the ability to dash. This “underworld” dash will recharge over time for quick bursts of mobility.
Aspect of Speed
Similar to the Aspect of Agility, Zeus’ Aspect of Speed medallion gives players the ability to run faster and jump higher while sprinting. So the player now has the option to decide between a burst of speed or longer-lasting effects.
These are the four medallions coming with Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. Like the ones from the previous season, they will all reveal the player’s location on the map.
When a player with a medallion (or multiple medallions) is killed, they drop the medallion for another player to pick up.
