On March 27, 2025, the X account Pop Base revealed that BTS member Jungkook may unveil significant news later in 2025. This announcement is particularly thrilling for fans as it precedes the anticipated 2026 world tour for the globally renowned K-pop group. The speculation surrounding Jungkook’s potential announcement was notably amplified by accounts like Jungkook Data.

Several other accounts, including @DCECOFICIAL1 and @ailoviutl, have also engaged in discussions about the impending news. To date, neither Jungkook nor BigHit Music has issued any formal statements regarding any upcoming announcements. Nonetheless, this update has spurred considerable excitement among BTS fans worldwide.

“World tour???? 😱😱,”an enthusiastic X user exclaimed.

As discussions unfold, many fans are contemplating the possibility of a solo tour for Jungkook. Others are speculating about potential solo albums, original soundtracks (OSTs), and various projects that might be on the horizon.

“I’m thinking a solo tour as well. He has plenty of time to do his tour then join his members for the BTS Comeback Concert! I can’t wait to hear him say it,”a fan remarked.

Jungkook Victimized by $5.76 Million Stock Fraud

In an unfortunate incident, Jungkook fell victim to a financial scam while serving his mandatory military duty. On January 6, 2024, a hacker illegally accessed his HYBE shares, which were valued at approximately 8.44 billion KRW (around $5.76 million). Reports indicate that the hacker created three securities accounts under Jungkook’s name to facilitate this fraud.

The hacker unlawfully transferred 33,500 HYBE shares from Jungkook’s account. Of these shares, 500 were sold, while the remaining 33,000 shares retained a value of around 8.316 billion KRW. This fraudulent activity came to light subsequently, prompting legal action from the singer’s representatives. In February 2025, the Seoul Western District Court ruled in his favor, declaring the fraudulent transactions invalid and ordering the return of the stolen stocks.

“There was no valid transfer contract for the shares, and Jungkook cannot be considered a victim of identity theft,”stated the court, adding, “The third party must return the shares to Jungkook,”as reported by Biz Hankuk.

In response to the breach, BigHit Music has enhanced their security protocols to safeguard against future incidents. The company confirmed that immediate measures were enacted upon discovering the fraud, including freezing payments to the compromised account and working actively to recover Jungkook’s assets.

“As soon as the company and the artist were made aware of the criminal act, we took swift actions to block payments to the account and restore it to its original state, preventing potential damage,”BigHit Music stated (via Biz Hankuk).

Additionally, the South Korean entertainment conglomerate has initiated steps to bolster Jungkook’s personal and device security to avert future occurrences of such breaches.

Jungkook began his compulsory military service on December 12, 2023, and is scheduled for discharge on June 11, 2025.
