Top 14 Results for American Idol Season 23

On April 20, American Idol featured a “Songs of Faith”theme, with contestants performing spiritual tunes to celebrate Easter Sunday. The performances were open to public voting, and the results directly influenced which competitors would progress in the competition.

By the close of the April 20 episode, four contestants—Kyana Fanene, Grayson Torrence, MKY, and Penny Samar—were voted off, leaving the competition solely based on viewer input. The remaining 20 contestants returned on April 21 to find out their fates.

After public voting, the first nine contestants for the Top 14 were decided, while six others—Baylee Littrell, Zaylie Windsor, Drew Ryn, Isaiah Misailegalu, Olivier Bergeron, and Victor Solomon—were eliminated due to low vote counts.

Following this reduction, the five contestants remaining in the so-called “danger zone”awaited the judges’ decisions. Judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and guest judge Carrie Underwood had the crucial task of choosing which contestants to save. Ultimately, Desmond Roberts, Josh King, ChĂ©, Amanda Barise, and Madi were selected to continue in the competition.
