Upcoming K-Dramas Featuring Ji Chang-wook and Jun Ji-hyun

In addition to Human x Nine-Tailed Fox, Ji Chang-wook is set to feature in Scandals (working title), a historical romance drama that Netflix has already confirmed. Set against the backdrop of the Joseon Dynasty, this series promises a compelling love story that challenges societal conventions.

This drama boasts an impressive cast, including Son Ye-jin, known for her role in Crash Landing on You, and Nana from Mask Girl. Currently, filming is taking place in Seoul, and it draws inspiration from the acclaimed 2003 film Untold Scandal and the classic French novel Les Liaisons dangereuses. In this series, Son Ye-jin portrays Lady Cho, a witty and charismatic woman who makes a secret wager to test the bounds of love and tradition. Ji Chang-wook takes on the role of Cho Won, a charming man who doesn’t believe in love—until Lady Cho ensnares him in her captivating game. Nana plays Hui Yeon, a virtuous widow who unexpectedly finds herself attracted to Cho Won.

Although Netflix has not yet provided a specific release date for Scandals, fans can expect its premiere later this year.

Meanwhile, Jun Ji-hyun is gearing up for her role in Tempest, which also stars Kang Dong-won. This drama centers on Moon Ju (played by Jun Ji-hyun), a respected diplomat and former U.S. ambassador, who unravels a political conspiracy linked to an assassination. Kang Dong-won not only stars as San Ho, a former elite mercenary with a shadowy background but is also co-producing the series, marking his return to television after two decades since Magic in 2004.

Looking ahead to 2025, Jun Ji-hyun is anticipated to make a grand return to the big screen in Colony, which will be her first film appearance in a decade. After her television comeback in 2021 with the thriller Jirisan, fans are eager to see where her career takes her next.
