“When I saw BTS win an award at an American award show, that’s when I realised Asian people can also make it,”the vocalist of LE SSERAFIM expressed.

She recalled how music became her sanctuary amid her struggles with identity and acceptance. Despite being Korean, she often felt alienated and recognized the lack of representation of Korean artists in the Western music scene, which led her to question her aspirations.
“In the midst of that thought, I saw BTS sunbaenim winning an award at the American Music Awards, which is very famous. Watching that made me have great pride as a Korean and encouraged me a lot. So it made me want to be a singer who can also help and encourage others,”she reflected.
