Fans Celebrate Jimin as “Who” Achieves Longest-Charting K-Pop Song of the Decade on UK Official Singles Chart, Breaking BTS’ “Dynamite” Record

On March 15, 2025, @TheePopCore announced via X that BTS member Jimin’s single “Who”has achieved an impressive milestone, securing the title of the longest-charting K-pop song on the UK Singles Chart this decade. The track surpassed the previous record held by his group’s 2020 hit “Dynamite,”maintaining its position on the charts for an incredible 28 weeks.

The UK Singles Chart, officially known as The Official Singles Chart, is compiled weekly by the Official Charts Company (OCC) and reflects the sales performance of singles based on a combination of physical purchases, paid downloads, and streaming activity.

Moreover, “Who”has also made history on the Billboard Hot 100 by becoming the longest-charting solo K-pop song, spending 32 weeks on the list as of March 11, eclipsing the previous record held by PSY’s “Gangnam Style.”

Notably, on Spotify, “Who”surged past 1.5 billion streams within just 223 days of its release. This rapid accomplishment sets a new record, marking it as the fastest for any K-pop artist and the fifth-fastest overall in Spotify’s history, as highlighted by the Korean Herald on February 28, 2025.

Fans took to social media in celebration of Jimin’s remarkable achievements, with excitement spreading across various platforms. One enthusiastic fan expressed admiration, labeling him as “iconic.”

“He’s so iconic,”commented a fan on X.

Fans praised Jimin for this exceptional achievement, especially noting that he reached these heights without any substantial promotional effort for the single.

“Are we even surprised, not when it’s Park Jimin,”other fans remarked.

“Don’t you think that’s what makes this achievement even more amazing? He didn’t even need to promote it heavily to do so well. Jimin, the king you are!”added another fan.

“Jimin bagging First and Only, Most, Fastest and Longest awards with a solo song and zero radio. Is this not insane?!”replied another fan.

Additional fan reactions on X highlighted Jimin’s record-setting feat, with one admirer stating he is truly in a “league of his own.”

“In the league of his own, a true music history maker,”a fan remarked.

“Another big record in the bag and one of the hardest charts too ohmygoddd,”wrote another fan.

“His solo debut breaks the myth that you can’t receive good numbers if you don’t promote in a certain country. But obviously, this only works when you have talent, good music, a good personality, and fans who really appreciate you as a person and artist. That is, everything Jimin has,”concluded another fan.
