Overview of the New GO Pass in Pokémon GO
- Pokémon GO has launched the GO Pass, providing players with opportunities to earn free rewards by completing tasks and leveling up.
- An upgraded Deluxe version is available for purchase, featuring premium rewards such as Lucky Trinkets and Candy XL.
- Currently, the feature is restricted to select regions, but a worldwide rollout is anticipated soon.
Pokémon GO has recently introduced the GO Pass, rolling out on April 1, exclusively for trainers in specific regions as part of a testing phase. This innovative feature enhances the gameplay experience by offering additional routes for players to acquire valuable items and Pokémon for their collections.
This is not the first occasion players have encountered a pass system in the game. Previously, Niantic had implemented the Tour Pass during the GO Tour event focused on the Unova region, which rewarded users with benefits that enriched their event experience.
Starting April 1 at 10 AM until May 6 at 10 AM local time, the GO Pass will give players in designated countries access to a complimentary pass that allows them to earn points through task completion and level progression. Similar to other Pokémon GO events, rewards will have an expiration date and need to be claimed by April 8 at 10 AM local time. Additionally, a paid version of the GO Pass will also be released on April 1, granting users access to both free and premium rewards. Notably, plans for a broader launch across more regions may follow later.
