Just as the beast appeared to gain the upper hand, Lena underwent a remarkable transformation into a new fairy form. This newfound power enabled her to vanquish the Wicked Dragon, though her attempt to capture Argos resulted in his escape.
Bogus Skill “Fruitmaster”Episode 12: Lena and Friends Encounter the Fairy King
Titled “The Evening Star,”Episode 12 began with Lena expressing her regrets to Flower Hat about Argos’s escape. In response, Flower Hat revealed she had discovered Argos’s dropped talisman, a powerful artifact that granted him the ability to negate the Fairy Stone’s enchantments, enabling him to summon monsters to the city of Athena.
Shortly after this revelation, a projection of the Fairy King’s thoughts materialized before Lena and her allies. Introducing himself as Obel, he recounted how his unicorn, Syrondoros, willingly chose to be sealed within the Fairy Stone. This decision was made to produce the regenerative powers necessary for restoring the ravaged land following the devastating war against the demons.
When Syrondoros sensed imminent danger approaching Athena, he created a double that resonated with Lena’s unwavering commitment to safeguard their land. This fusion bestowed upon Lena green silver wings and a purifying sword.
Realizing Syrondoros’s life was approaching its end, the Fairy King requested a final wish: to witness the Fairy Dance once more. In a heartfelt moment, Lena and Dratena performed the dance, leading Dratena to feel a sense of redemption as the people of the city applauded her efforts, easing the pain of her past ostracism.
After the performance, the Fairy King entrusted Lena with the care of Syrondoros, who she affectionately renamed “Syron,”in honor of his prior identity and to help him experience the life he had missed during his time in the Fairy Stone.
Following the Fairy King’s departure, Lena succumbed to fatigue and lost consciousness, only to awaken at dusk the subsequent day. Upon regaining her senses, she was greeted by a hotel employee who expressed gratitude towards her and her guild for supplying weapons that had aided in defending the city from demon attacks during the night.
This development raised suspicions; the quick arrival of the weapons seemed implausible given the distance from the Holy City. It became apparent that the Holy Sister had foreseen these events.
Recognizing the manipulation at play, Flower Hat disclosed classified information from a bureau known only to a few. Although publicly attributed with the ability to appraise individuals, the Holy Sister’s actual skill was precognition, allowing her to foresee others’ futures and orchestrate sinister plans.
The involvement of Lena and Dratena in the recent Wicked Dragon incidents turned out to be a troubling common thread. Consequently, Flower Hat urged Lena and Dratena to assist in her investigation, which they accepted. Lena then informed Light and Ayla of her delay, while they relayed their plans to depart the next day for the S-Rank mission.
The following day, just as Light and Ayla prepared to leave, Monica Bolst presented Light with a new sword, aptly named “Homura.”However, it was a prototype, prompting Monica to express her desire to join Luxeria on their journey. Light and Ayla welcomed her with enthusiasm.
Simultaneously, the Holy Sister plotted to eliminate Light Underwood, recognizing the urgency as her fate-altering scheme faced potential disruption. She set her sights on “Formido Woods”for her next move.
As Luxeria reached the “Gate of Hope”in Lanedine, the Holy City, they crossed paths with Signe Jaildoll, a formidable S-Rank solo adventurer from the Inspection Bureau, who would accompany them on their upcoming S-Rank mission.
