Emiru Speaks Out on Bonbibonkers Grooming Allegations: “People Don’t Care About Victims”

On April 22, 2025, during a live Twitch broadcast, Emily “Emiru”, an OTK-affiliated content creator, took the time to address the serious allegations surrounding streamer Bonbibonkers regarding a grooming incident. The controversy gained traction the previous day, April 21, when a clip of Bonbibonkers discussing inappropriate advances made towards her as a minor surfaced on social media.

This clip, which quickly went viral, led to rampant speculation among viewers. Many users began to suggest that the unnamed perpetrator was Emiru, a misconception fueled by a widely shared Tweet from @slushfuner, which claimed, “OTK’s Emiru accused of grooming minor.”Despite Emiru not being identified in Bonbibonkers’ statements, the Tweet garnered millions of views, further complicating the narrative.

Crucially, Bonbibonkers later clarified via her X post that Emiru was not the individual referenced in her recounting of the alleged incident. In response to the unfolding drama, Emiru shared her insights during her stream, suggesting that the public’s eagerness for sensational headlines overshadowed genuine concern for the victim:

“This whole situation just proves what I said a couple of years ago about how people do not care about victims, they just act like they do when there is drama. So, yeah felt really bad for her.”

“I feel really bad for Bon”: Emiru Reflects on the Situation

In her broadcast, Emiru firmly denied the allegations surrounding her while expressing that she preferred to keep her comments brief, acknowledging her desire to share her thoughts without delving too deeply into the controversy. It was evident that she empathized with Bonbibonkers, illustrating that she had done nothing to warrant blame:

“That did not happen, obviously. Honestly, there is a lot that I want to say about the whole situation. I have a lot of thoughts, but I feel it’s just better to just move on, I guess. But I do want to say one thing, um, I feel really bad for Bon, or Bonbi, because she was literally just talking on her stream with her chat about her life and everything. She literally did nothing wrong or said anything about anyone, I don’t know.”

Emiru went on to share how the ongoing discussions had affected her personally, noting that she had spent a sleepless night as people reached out to inquire about her well-being:

“I’m glad that it got resolved quickly, but I was just like, ‘Okay, what the f**ck?’ I have been fine. I was up till like 8 am last night because literally everyone wanted to talk to me and ask me if I was okay. I was fine, I was like, ‘It sucks and it’s cringe, but what can I do?’ I guess that’s all that I really have to say about it.”

Within the streaming community, reactions have varied, with some former members of OTK, such as Tectone, voicing that being associated with the organization has become a challenge, even describing it as a “death sentence”in light of current events.
