Elon Musk Wears Cheesehead Hat at Wisconsin Rally, Promises to Sign It and Gives $1 Million Checks to Two Voters

Elon Musk Steals the Show at Wisconsin Rally

On March 30, 2025, nearly 2,000 enthusiastic supporters gathered for a rally in Wisconsin, where Tesla founder Elon Musk took center stage just two days ahead of the pivotal Wisconsin Supreme Court election set for April 1. Musk, donning a signature Cheesehead hat—a playful nod to Wisconsin’s dairy heritage and the state’s love for the Green Bay Packers—engaged the crowd by signing and tossing the hat into the audience amid applause.

The term “Cheesehead”has evolved over the years from a pejorative to a term of endearment among locals, symbolizing state pride and camaraderie. Musk’s gesture not only showcased his playful side but also connected with the local culture, making an impactful statement.

“Hey, everybody! Thanks for coming. What do you think of my hat? Alright, I am gonna sign the hat, I am gonna throw it out,”Musk remarked, energizing the crowd.

During the rally, Musk made headlines by awarding $1 million checks to two Wisconsin voters, appointing them as representatives for his political organization, America PAC. The move drew immediate attention, with Wisconsin’s Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul filing a request with the Supreme Court to halt the checks, citing a violation of state law.

“Wisconsin law prohibits offering anything of value to induce anyone to vote. Yet, Elon Musk did just that,” Kaul stated in his filing.

While the Wisconsin Supreme Court opted not to address the case, the lack of any explanation for their inaction left many questioning the implications of Musk’s financial gestures on the electoral process.

A Critical Election for Wisconsin’s Future

Musk underscored the significance of the upcoming Supreme Court election, stating that it represents a pivotal moment for the political landscape, particularly with respect to the agenda of former President Donald Trump.

“It’s a super big deal. I’m not phoning it in — I’m here in person,”Musk declared, emphasizing his commitment to the cause.

“What’s happening on Tuesday is a vote for which party controls the US House of Representatives. And whichever party controls the House. .. to a significant degree, controls the country, which then steers the course of Western civilization. So it’s like, I feel like this is one of those things that may not seem that it’s going to affect the entire destiny of humanity, but I think it will,” he elaborated.

Recent reports reveal that Musk has invested approximately $20 million in support of conservative candidate Brad Schimel against Democrat Susan Crawford, with the election likely to shape the ideological landscape of the state’s Supreme Court—a critical factor in deciding major legal issues in this key battleground state.

Wisconsin has been characterized as a swing state, with a nearly even split between Democratic and Republican voters. This status amplifies the weight of the upcoming election in shaping national politics.

In his remarks, Musk warned that a victory by Crawford could open the door for the Supreme Court to redraw district boundaries in a way that would disadvantage Republican representation.

“And if the (Wisconsin) Supreme Court is able to redraw the districts, they will gerrymander the district and deprive Wisconsin of two seats on the Republican side. Then they will try to stop all the government reforms we are getting done for you, the American people,” Musk argued.

Meanwhile, tensions surrounding Musk’s political engagement have escalated, culminating in criticism regarding his appointment as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). This controversy has coincided with significant drops in Tesla’s stock price, compounded by widespread vandalism at Tesla dealerships, which has sparked federal investigations into these acts of violence described as “domestic terrorism.”

In a recent announcement, the FBI unveiled a task force dedicated to addressing the rising violence against Elon Musk’s company, highlighting the serious implications of political unrest on business operations.

As the electoral dynamics in Wisconsin evolve, all eyes are on the upcoming Supreme Court election, where the stakes are higher than ever.
