Elon Musk Responds to “Evil Attack” After Multiple Tesla Cars Burn at Las Vegas Facility

Tesla Cars Targeted in Las Vegas Arson Attack

In the early hours of March 18, 2025, multiple Tesla vehicles were deliberately set on fire at a facility in Las Vegas. The incident occurred at the Tesla Collision Center, located near the intersection of Jones Boulevard and the 215 Beltway. According to the Clark County Fire Department, the culprits utilized Molotov cocktails and discharged a firearm during this brazen attack.

Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, took to X (formerly Twitter) to condemn the violence, labeling it an act of “terrorism.”In a follow-up message, he stated:

“This level of violence is insane and deeply wrong. Tesla just makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks.”

Reports from KXII reveal that the fire was primarily contained to two vehicles, with five cars suffering damage. Firefighters successfully prevented the flames from reaching the batteries of the cars, mitigating a potentially more dangerous situation.

Targeted Attack: Signs Point to Growing Trend

Images captured during the event show the word “resist”spray-painted on the front doors of the attacked facility. Las Vegas police officials, including Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren alongside FBI Officer Spencer Evans, indicated that they suspect this incident was part of a targeted campaign against Tesla.

Since January, there has been a disturbing trend of similar attacks on Tesla vehicles across various states. At a press conference, authorities described the suspect—a figure in black clothing—throwing an explosive device into the parked cars around 2:45 a.m. Additionally, three gunshots were fired at the vehicles, although officials have stated there was no imminent threat to the public.

Pattern of Violence Against Tesla Vehicles

The increasing number of arson cases against Tesla cars has raised concerns regarding a coordinated effort fueled by political animosity towards Musk’s outspoken support of former President Donald Trump. Previous incidents include Molotov cocktails being thrown at Tesla locations in Kansas City, Missouri, as well as in Colorado and Oregon. A separate event in South Carolina saw an individual throw a Molotov cocktail at a charging station, prompting investigations by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

FBI Special Agent Spencer Evans noted that while authorities initially investigated the fires as acts of arson, they are now considering them possible acts of terrorism due to associated motives:

“Was this terrorism, was it something else? It certainly has some of the hallmarks that we might think – you know, the writing on the wall, the potential political agenda, there’s an act of violence. So, none of those factors are lost on us.”

Elon Musk further expressed his concerns on X, asserting that the “woke”left is responsible for the violent incidents against Tesla, suggesting that the company, which produces widely loved products, is being wrongly targeted. He remarked:

“Because I am a deadly threat to the woke mind parasite and the humans it controls.”

In light of recent events, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi advised against any form of vandalism or damage towards Tesla property, echoing sentiments made by President Trump during a recent White House event, where he promised strict repercussions for those caught vandalizing.

The investigation into this alarming incident is ongoing, with authorities releasing no new information as of yet. The situation highlights the growing tension surrounding political affiliations and consumer brands.
