Tournament of Champions Season 6: Episode 4 Recap
The highly anticipated episode 4 of the Tournament of Champions season 6, titled Leave It All on the Floor, debuted on the Food Network on March 23, 2025. In this exciting installment, the competition intensified as the final four battles of the first round unfolded, with victorious chefs advancing to the next stage of the tournament.
Eight talented contestants faced off in head-to-head matchups designed to impress the esteemed judges, Guy Fieri and Simon Majumdar. Unfortunately, by the episode’s conclusion, Amanda Freitag, Dale Talde, Claudette Zepeda, and Tobias Dorzon found themselves eliminated from the competition.
Elimination Highlights from Season 6 Episode 4
Amanda Freitag vs. Carlos Anthony
The episode kicked off with Amanda Freitag pitted against Carlos Anthony, where the Randomizer dictated the ingredients: country ribs, jalapenos, a stand mixer, battered items, and cinnamon sticks.
Chef Carlos delivered an impressive albonidga with Oaxacan mole, captivating the judges with his innovative use of flavors and especially the jalapeno in both the quick-pickled element and the meatball itself. Chef Amanda countered with cinnamon-glazed country-style pork ribs accompanied by an aji amarillo sauce. While the judges appreciated her dish, they concluded it did not quite measure up to Carlos’ culinary creation. The final score saw Carlos triumph over Amanda with a narrow margin of 87 to 85.
Dale Talde vs. Sara Bradley
Next, Dale Talde squared off against Sara Bradley. The Randomizer presented them with Denver steak, turnips, charred v-blade mandoline, and horseradish. Chef Sara creatively utilized each ingredient, crafting an Urfa charred Denver steak that impressed the panel. Conversely, Chef Dale served up kalbi wrapped in pickled turnip, but feedback suggested that his choice to include kimchi alongside the horseradish was a misstep. Ultimately, Chef Sara emerged victorious in this competitive face-off.
Claudette Zepeda vs. Nini Nguyen
In the following round, Claudette Zepeda faced Nini Nguyen, with the challenge of utilizing turkey breast, radicchio, a double boiler pan, as well as citrus and cantaloupe. Nini impressed the judges with her turkey tenders paired with a radicchio salad and cantaloupe sabayon, although they suggested that an increased sabayon ratio might have enhanced her dish further. Claudette’s turkey carnitas, while creative, fell short as the judges noted the overcooked nature of the meat, leading to her elimination.
Tobias Dorzon vs. David Viana
The final battle showcased Tobias Dorzon against David Viana. The Randomizer’s ingredients included mussels, fennel, a milk frother, seared elements, and quinoa. Chef David’s dish, mussels toast, garnered positive feedback from the judges for its meticulous composition. In contrast, Tobias received criticism for failing to present a dish that met the competition’s high standards, resulting in another elimination.
