Dario’s Reflections on Relationships and Eliminations
Following the elimination of his fellow rivals Ashley and Dario last week, Dario took the opportunity to share his experiences and insights in an interview with Parade on March 21. Having been absent from the show for a decade, his return brought a mix of excitement and apprehension. Initially believing he would never return, Dario was grateful for the chance to re-enter the game.
“As years passed, year three, year four, year five, it starts to become just a distant memory. So it was pretty special to get the opportunity. And I’m happy I took it,”stated Dario.
Past Relationships and Misunderstandings
When discussing his previous relationship with Ashley, Dario expressed disappointment with how it was portrayed on the show. He acknowledged that his communication skills were lacking during their breakup, attributing this to his youth and immaturity at the time.
Dario clarified that while the show alluded to lingering romantic tension, he believes this perception is inaccurate. He praised Ashley as an exceptional person who has successfully moved on in her life, emphasizing the importance of clearing the air between them.
“She’s in a great place in her life, and she has her daughter, and she’s doing amazing things. So there were no real issues between us, just a lack of communication on my end,”stated Dario.
Confrontation and Regrets
In a more recent turn of events, Dario reflected on a confrontation with Devin during the current season. Although he acknowledged that he lost control of his emotions during their dispute, he understood that Devin was merely defending his teammate, Leroy.
Dario admitted that his emotions flared due to his protective feelings for someone he cared about but later regretted his reaction. He conveyed no hard feelings toward Devin, wishing him well as they both navigate the competitive landscape.
