EA Sports’ last iteration of its fan-favorite college football series was all the way back in 2014. The game, titled NCAA Football 14, marked the end of the franchise after multiple lawsuits were filed over athlete likeness, which resulted in a massive payout to players featured.
But, now almost 10 years later, we’re on the verge of finally getting another installment of the iconic sports franchise. So, when will the first installment of EA Sports College Football be released?

EA SPORTS College Football reveal and release date
EA Sports confirmed that the franchise’s reveal will come in May 2024 after what’s been a three-year wait for extensive information. However, the release date is uncertain at this time.
According to a report from Gators Breakdown’s David Waters in January 2024, College Football may release on July 12, 2024. However, a different report indicated that EA has not been shared a date with anyone and could not confirm that July 12 date.

What platforms will it be released on?
While there has to be an official announcement from the developers, we expect that the game will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
Those have been the platforms that EA has traditionally released its major sports games title on. However, those hoping for an old-gen release should know that more recent EA titles like Need for Speed: Unbound and UFC 5 have not been released on those consoles.
EA SPORTS College Football features & gameplay
As far as features are concerned, EA Sports has been very coy as to what will be in the upcoming game.
We do know that the new game will make use of EA’s Frostbite engine, as that’s been confirmed by the publisher. EA Sports FC, Madden, UFC, and NHL all make use of the engine, so this makes sense.
However, no details on Road to Glory, Dynasty, or potential integration with Madden have been made known to this point.
No gameplay has been revealed at this time.
