Tallulah Willis, the youngest offspring of renowned actors Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, recently opened up about her unique experiences with Ashton Kutcher, who served as her stepfather. Willis shared her feelings regarding the nuances of navigating a blended family, emphasizing both the challenges and rewards that come with it.
Willis, known on Instagram as @buuski, made headlines by commenting on a recent post by actress Gwyneth Paltrow, where she and her husband Brad Falchuk discussed their stepparenting journey during a Tuesday episode of The Goop Podcast released on April 8th.
Falchuk, who is a stepfather to Paltrow’s children, Apple and Moses—whom she shares with her ex-husband Chris Martin—also contributed to the conversation about the complexities of forming blended families. Paltrow’s post articulately reminisces about the “messy, beautiful, and often surprising realities of stepparenting,”highlighting their personal experiences.
“As I sat down to record this week’s solo episode of The @goop Podcast, I found myself reflecting on the messy, beautiful, and often surprising realities of stepparenting. Of course… We talk about the missteps, the rituals, and the truths that helped us build a blended family that feels uniquely, imperfectly ours…”
In response, Tallulah commented:
“I have a lot to say on this! Especially how to move through an ex-step parent…”

The conversation intensified when a user queried whether her comments were directed at her mother Demi Moore and Kutcher. Tallulah replied candidly:
“This maybe should have been a private message lol.. but yes I have personal experience with this.”
In her response, Tallulah explicitly referenced Ashton Kutcher, who was married to Demi Moore from 2005 until 2011.
Ashton Kutcher’s Positive Relationship with Moore’s Daughters
Demi Moore and Bruce Willis wed on November 21, 1987, just two years following her divorce from musician Freddy Moore. Together, they raised three daughters: Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. Although they separated in 1998 and finalized their divorce in 2000, the couple has maintained a strong friendship, with Moore supporting Willis through health issues as they’ve co-parented their daughters.
In 2003, Demi began a relationship with Ashton Kutcher, marking the onset of a notable union characterized by their 15-year age gap. While they faced significant media attention from the start, Moore’s pregnancy soon ended in heartbreak with a stillborn child.
The couple married on September 24, 2005, in a ceremony attended by roughly 150 family and friends, including Bruce Willis. Six years later, however, their relationship unraveled, leading to an official divorce announcement from Moore in 2011, followed by Kutcher filing for divorce in December 2012, citing irreconcilable differences.
In March 2013, Moore requested financial support from Kutcher in response to their divorce proceedings, and their marriage officially ended on November 26, 2013. Despite this separation, Ashton Kutcher has successfully maintained a positive rapport with Moore’s three daughters.
According to a January 31, 2023 report from People Magazine, Kutcher expressed his perspective on his role as a step-parent, clarifying:
“I think you try … but at the same time I am not their father.. I was never trying to be their father. I always had respect and honored Bruce [Willis], and I think he’s a brilliant human being and a wonderful man. If they don’t want an engagement with me, I’m not going to force it upon them. But they all do and it’s great.”
Meanwhile, in her memoir *Inside Out*, released in 2019, Moore openly reflected on her marriage with Kutcher, describing it as a “do-over”for her youthful experiences.
“When I met Ashton, it almost felt like a do-over, like I could just go back in time and experience what it was like to be young with him.”
Moore also candidly discussed her struggles with alcoholism that affected their marriage.
Currently, Ashton Kutcher is married to his *That ’70s Show* co-star Mila Kunis, with whom he shares two children: daughter Wyatt Isabelle and son Dimitri Portwood.
