This compelling narrative follows the life of Noh Ki-jun, played by Lee Dong-wook, a talented product developer who has navigated the complexities of marriage, having experienced three divorces. In a bold move, he leads an innovative venture: divorce insurance. His dynamic team comprises Kang Han-deul (played by Lee Joo-bin), a resilient underwriter seeking to rebuild her life after her own divorce; An Jeon-man (portrayed by Lee Kwang-soo), a cautious surveyor; and Jeon Na-rae (acted by Lee Da-hee), a sharp financial mathematician with a quick wit.

In the preceding episode, episode 3, the storyline escalated when Han-deul fortuitously meets an old acquaintance, Jeong-sin, leading them to a dining outing. Jeong-sin commends Han-deul for her strength in pursuing a divorce. Meanwhile, Ki-jun confronts another character named Uh-hyeong, where we glimpse a flashback showcasing Ki-jun’s efforts to encourage Uh-hyeong to move past his sorrow over Jin-ju’s death and embrace life anew.
Following Uh-hyeong’s departure, Ki-jun is overtaken by grief, resulting in an emotional breakdown.
In another subplot, Jeon-man unexpectedly encounters Na-rae at a laundromat, where she arrives with a teddy bear. Despite his attempts to save the plush toy from the washing machine, it meets an unfortunate fate. This incident helps knit their budding friendship stronger as they work together to resolve the mess.
The narrative further unfolds with Han-deul tidying her space while making a call to Ah-yeong, only to discover that she is on a blind date orchestrated by her mother. A humorous moment arises when Ah-yeong’s date, revealing himself to be a dancer, performs for her, leading to her embarrassment and a hasty retreat in a taxi.
During a subsequent encounter, Han-deul discovers Ki-jun exhausted and collapsed after jogging. Offering him water, their connection deepens as they share moments together, despite interruptions from the rest of the team.
As the story progresses, Na-rae insists on dining at Jeon-man’s place, offering a glimpse of budding relationships. Meanwhile, Dae-bok makes a comical attempt to sell divorce insurance to his friends.

A confrontation arises when Han-deul runs into her ex, who accuses her of stalking, prompting Ki-jun to come to her defense. That same evening, an unidentified individual attempts to access confidential policy files on a team member’s computer, suggesting looming challenges.
As the new day dawns, the team gathers to brainstorm strategies to prevent couples from hastily divorcing within six months of purchasing a policy. They explore consultations with professionals ranging from astrologers to therapists, seeking comprehensive insights. However, their creative efforts face an unsettling interruption when Ki-jun receives an alarming call from the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) regarding potential policy violations which could threaten their entire operation.
