Siegel expressed to The Hollywood Reporter, “The world needs Mitch more than ever today. In these really complicated and divisive times, nobody can bring people together over hilarious yet ridiculous observations like he can.” His words reflect the timelessness of Hedberg’s humor, which continues to resonate despite the passage of time.

“This is by far the most meaningful film I’ve ever made,” Siegel shares, reflecting on the significance of this project to him personally. “Over the last 20-plus years, this has been percolating.” The documentary, now in production with the backing of Hedberg’s sister, Angie Anderson, features interviews with over 100 comedians, including prominent names like Lewis Black, Jim Gaffigan, B.J. Novak, Margaret Cho, and Dave Attell.
