About Detective Conan (Case Closed)
A Historic Anime and Manga

Gōshō Aoyama’s Case Closed, which has been a mainstay in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday since its debut in January 1994, has been compiled into 106 volumes, solidifying its status as one of the longest-running manga franchises in history. The storyline focuses on the clever 17-year-old detective Shinichi Kudo, who finds himself involved in a life-altering incident when he inadvertently witnesses a crime involving the infamous Black Organization. After being attacked and administered a deadly drug, he reverts to the body of an eight-year-old, subsequently adopting the persona of Conan Edogawa.
Under the guise of Conan, Shinichi stays with childhood friend Ran Mori, whose father, Kogoro Mori, is a private detective. While accompanying Kogoro on various cases, Conan employs his deductive skills to unravel mysteries and secretly seeks information on the organization responsible for his predicament. The anime adaptation of Detective Conan launched in January 1996, leading to numerous feature films, the first being released in 1997.
