Recent reports indicate that Huh Joon-ho, known for his role in the drama Buried Hearts, has been cast in the highly anticipated series Delusion. He will star alongside popular actors Bae Suzy and Kim Seon-ho. As per the information released by JTBC on April 11, Joon-ho is currently reviewing the final details regarding his character.

In an update from EDaily Korea in August 2024, Bae Suzy and Kim Seon-ho were confirmed as the lead actors following the exit of Han So-hee and Ryu Jun-yeol, who were initially set for the roles. Their decision to withdraw came after their breakup, which had taken place earlier in the year.

According to a January 15, 2025, publication from What’s on Netflix, Delusion was expected to commence filming in late February, with principal photography planned to occur from March through May. Initial plans indicated a release on Netflix; however, no confirmation from the streaming platform has been provided. Currently, discussions are ongoing for the series to air on Disney+ in 2026.

Overview of the Plot of Delusion

Delusion is a horror thriller inspired by a webtoon titled the same, crafted by author Hongjacga. The narrative centers around a young painter, Yun I-ho (played by Kim Seon-ho), navigating life in Gyeongseong during the Japanese colonial period in 1935. His journey takes an intriguing turn when he is commissioned to paint a captivating and enigmatic vampire woman, Seon Jeong-hwa (played by Bae Suzy). The intertwining fates of these characters unveil a series of mysteries as the plot unfolds.

As of April 10, 2025, OSEN reported that Choi Hyun-wook, noted for his role in the romantic comedy My Dearest Nemesis alongside Moon Ga-young, has also joined the main cast of Delusion. The series will be directed by Han Jae-rim, recognized for his work on Netflix’s The 8 Show and The Face Reader.

In other news, Kim Seon-ho is currently receiving attention for his ‘green-flag’ character in Netflix’s When Life Gives You Tangerines, where fans and celebrities are participating in the trending ‘Kim Seon-ho Smile Challenge’ after an uplifting moment between his character and IU’s Geum-myeong went viral online. Meanwhile, Huh Joon-ho continues to captivate audiences with his villainous role in Buried Hearts, featuring Park Hyung-sik. Additionally, Bae Suzy is set to co-host the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards alongside Park Bo-gum and Shin Dong-yup, marking her tenth consecutive year as the event’s MC.
