Activision has unveiled a fresh update for Call of Duty: Warzone, which includes both gameplay enhancements and bug fixes. As part of ongoing support for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone, the teams are committed to providing regular updates that refine weapon performance and game experience.
December has proven to be a transformative month for the Call of Duty franchise. Earlier this month, the major Season 1 Reloaded update brought a wealth of new maps, game modes, and crucial balance changes to both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. While extensive updates like this are not a frequent occurrence, the series utilizes its live service model to introduce smaller, impactful patches that keep gameplay engaging and fresh for players.
New Content and Adjustments
As anticipated, this Thursday’s update for Call of Duty: Warzone is lighter compared to previous weeks. One of the most exciting additions is the AMR Mod 4 Sniper Rifle. However, it’s important to note that while the AMR Mod 4 is now available, its CHF barrel attachment has been restricted. Conversely, the update has lifted the restrictions on both the COR 45 Pistol and the Saug Akimbo Attachment.

Audio Enhancements
Audio quality remains a hot topic within the Call of Duty community, and this update makes several important changes. The environmental reverb effects for all player movements—both friendly and enemy—have been reduced, along with a decrease in the volume of first-person player footsteps. To improve player awareness, the sound of enemy footsteps has been amplified, enabling a more immersive gameplay experience.
Holiday Events
In addition to gameplay changes, Activision has embraced the festive spirit with the Merry Mayhem event. “CODMAS” has been launched in both Warzone and Black Ops 6, featuring limited-time modes and an array of exciting unlockable content. This week, players can engage in Archie’s Festival Frenzy, where they can “unwrap”presents by collecting Jolly Archies, which are rewards earned through eliminations in multiplayer or found during Warzone matches.
