Behaviour Interactive has recently revealed its roadmap for April 2025 for the acclaimed horror game Dead by Daylight. Since its launch in 2016, this asymmetrical multiplayer title has captivated over 60 million players across various platforms, solidifying its status in the survival horror genre.

A significant element of its enduring success is the game’s diverse range of crossover content. Over time, Dead by Daylight has introduced notorious killers from popular franchises like Stranger Things, Silent Hill, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The latest roadmap outlines the exciting events players can anticipate as April unfolds.

Upcoming Highlights in Dead by Daylight for April 2025

One of the standout features includes the much-anticipated collaboration with Tokyo Ghoul, which started on April 2. This update introduces Ken Kaneki, also known as The Ghoul, to the killer roster. Survivors can also look forward to obtaining new costumes inspired by the beloved anime series. Furthermore, the roadmap confirms the return of the Blood Moon event, scheduled from April 7 to April 29, which rewards players with daily bonuses for logging in during the event period.

On April 12, Behaviour Interactive will be hosting a live Dead by Daylight event at Horrorcon in Scotland, followed by the next Player Test Build (PTB) on April 15. Although specifics about the PTB are yet to be disclosed, it aims to provide players with insights into upcoming development modifications and character rebalancing. To cap off the month, a new Techwear collection and a mini-event named Fragment Frenzy will take place on April 22.

While April promises a wealth of content for players, it’s not without its downsides. The Hellraiser chapter has been removed from the game. Pinhead, a character that quickly earned a dedicated fanbase upon his release in 2021, is no longer available as new content. Although Behaviour has not specified the reasons for this removal, many fans suspect it may be linked to licensing complications. Thankfully, those who had previously unlocked Pinhead can still enjoy playing as the iconic character, despite the disappearance of his chapter.

With a busy month ahead, players are eagerly anticipating the return of the beloved Blood Moon event. Should it prove successful, the Tokyo Ghoul crossover could mark a pivotal point for Dead by Daylight, potentially opening doors for more anime-inspired killers in future updates.
