Players will engage with formidable hordes comprised of Reachers, Breakers, and Rager bears, competing to survive as long as possible and achieve top scores. The mode boasts more than 20 distinct weapons, including a powerful flamethrower, and introduces 24 gameplay modifiers known as Injectors. These Injectors include innovative challenges like “Exploding Freakers,”which causes Freakers to detonate upon defeat, and “Wanted,”which allows players to start at the high difficulty level immediately. The Horde Assault mode initiates in the Cascade region of the Days Gone map, starting players off with just a sidearm. This mode also includes new Side Jobs, providing opportunities for accruing resources and extra experience points (XP).
