In the world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, players can engage with challenges known as Anomalies. Completing these Anomalies rewards players with Data Fragments, which can be traded for legendary gear, crafting materials, and currency. With only one Project available at a time, players must strategically choose which rewards to prioritize.
At launch, players have access to two Projects: The Legacy and The Awakening. Plans are in place to introduce a potential third Project in the future, expanding the variety of gameplay options.
Each Project consists of multiple reward tiers, with new items becoming available for every 600 Data Fragments collected. Importantly, players can switch between Projects without losing progress, allowing them to return later to claim previous rewards.
To acquire Data Fragments, players must successfully complete Anomalies, which are limited-time challenges that refresh regularly. It is crucial to complete these challenges before they cycle out in order to maximize progress.
1) The Legacy Project
This Project is tailored for Naoe, providing legendary armor and accessories that bolster stealth gameplay, while also offering powerful weapons for Yasuke. The complete list of rewards includes:
- Rank 4: Cerulean Nexus – A legendary Naginata for Yasuke that enhances impact during Shoulder Tackle.
- Rank 9: Cerulean Guise Hood – A legendary Headgear for Naoe, making her undetectable while dodging from a stalking zone.
- Rank 13: Cerulean Puzzle Trinket – A legendary Trinket for Naoe that reduces health segments removed during Running Assassinate by +2.
- Rank 18: Cerulean Glitch – A legendary Long Katana for Yasuke that restores 100% of an Adrenaline Chunk upon ration use (note: it does not heal).
- Rank 21: Cerulean Guise Kosode – A legendary Light Armor for Naoe that tags enemies in sight with Eagle Vision.

2) The Awakening Project
This Project centers around Yasuke, offering him potent armor and accessories while also providing valuable weapons for Naoe. The rewards are as follows:
- Rank 4: Cerulean Flux – A legendary Tanto for Naoe that instantly charges posture attacks after using abilities.
- Rank 9: Cerulean Guise Mask – A legendary Helmet for Yasuke, increasing his chance of looting rations from enemies by +50%.
- Rank 13: Cerulean Core – A legendary Amulet for Yasuke, reducing health segments lost during Brutal Assassinations by +2 when performed during the day.
- Rank 18: Cerulean Arc – A legendary Katana for Naoe, restoring 100% of an Adrenaline Chunk on ration use (also does not heal).
- Rank 21: Cerulean Guise Armor – A legendary Armor for Yasuke with the ability to restore 100% of an Adrenaline Chunk upon ration use.

Since players can only progress in one Project at a time, it’s essential to choose based on your preferred gameplay style. If you primarily play as Naoe, The Legacy Project presents stealth-oriented gear that amplifies her skills. Conversely, The Awakening Project is ideal for players who favor Yasuke, offering stronger armor and weapons designed for combat.
