A representative from a crypto casino has claimed that popular Twitch streamer Matthew “Mizkif”attempted to finalize a gambling agreement shortly before the anti-gambling protest on the platform. On March 16, 2025, an X user known as @GamdomHowly, linked to Gamdom—a platform focusing on gambling, casinos, and sportsbooks—shared screenshots of direct messages allegedly exchanged with Mizkif.
These messages, dated June 15, 2022, included a request from Mizkif asking for a contact at Gamdom:
“yo. do you know a point of contact i can have for gamdom”

Despite claiming to uphold confidentiality, @GamdomHowly suggested that Mizkif was dissatisfied with the financial offer presented by Gamdom. The employee described the Twitch star’s reaction as “super salty,”indicating that the situation motivated Mizkif to partner with other creators in a campaign advocating for a ban on gambling content on Twitch. He remarked:
“I will NEVER share confidential convos, But right before the entire anti-gambling protest was happening, Mizkif was trying to close a gamba deal… He didn’t like the money that was offered so he got super salty and started teaming up with other creators to aggressively call twitch to ban gamba.”
Background On Mizkif’s Stance Against Gambling on Twitch
The controversy surrounding gambling on Twitch gained significant traction in September 2022, particularly after the streamer ItsSliker was accused of defrauding viewers and fellow content creators due to gambling addiction. This incident catalyzed a partnership between Mizkif and Imane “Pokimane,”as they aimed to draft a public appeal for Twitch to restrict gambling-related streams. Mizkif expressed his willingness, stating:
“I would do it in a minute. I would do it in a minute!”
On September 19, 2022, he reinforced his position by posting on X:
“like if @Twitch should ban gambling #TwitchStopGambling”
Additonally, during a livestream, Mizkif criticized Twitch for their inaction when he previously requested a meeting to discuss the gambling issue:
“Why is this a thing in 2022? Why did I call Twitch four months ago for a meeting when they wanted to have a meeting about this? You guys have done s**t. Just ban gambling. I don’t get it. Think about hundreds of people who are like Sliker but have no platform.”
As of now, Mizkif has yet to respond to the allegations put forth by @GamdomHowly regarding their private exchanges on X.
