Your adventure begins in the town of Bylany, located on the expansive Kuttenberg map. Here, you will encounter Jan Posy of Zimburg. You can find him outside the tavern or seated within. Engage him by asking, “Do you need help with something?” This conversation will lead to him revealing that his brother has been kidnapped by the Cumans.

After expressing your willingness to assist him, the quest will commence, and you will ride alongside Posy. This journey allows you to learn more about the circumstances surrounding his brother’s kidnapping through dialogue.

Upon reaching the Cumans’ camp, you will find Posy infuriated and eager for vengeance. At this juncture, you can either allow him to execute his wrath or negotiate for mercy, the latter requiring you to successfully pass a medium-difficulty Persuasion check.

Following this encounter, your objectives will include:

  • Collecting a halberd from the fallen soldiers (optional)
  • Locating the priest mentioned by Posy

Although acquiring the halberd is optional, you can proceed directly to search for the priest. Look for him by the river, near a tree; he will be labeled “Sedletz Priest”in your interface. After reporting back to Posy regarding your findings, he will set off to the north in search of his brother. On your journey, you may encounter a woman named Fiolka, who will lead you to the next group of Cumans.

Engaging the Next Group of Cumans

This subsequent group of Cumans is larger and presents a more significant challenge. You can engage them in direct combat during the day; however, this approach is risky and may lead to complications. Alternatively, you can persuade Posy to adopt a stealthier strategy, allowing for a nighttime attack after you find the camp. Successfully convincing him will also require a medium-difficulty Persuasion check.

If you have confidence in your stealth abilities, consider sneaking past during the day, liberating Posy’s brother (be sure to have an additional weapon in your inventory to equip him), and then battling alongside the two siblings. Nonetheless, opting for a nighttime ambush is highly advisable for better chances of success. Regardless of your approach, defeating all Cumans is necessary to advance in the Bellatores side quest.

Once Posy’s brother, Miroslav, has been rescued and all Cumans dispatched, the quest will conclude. Enjoy the banter between the brothers, which pays homage to the film Predator in a lighthearted manner. As a reward for your efforts, Posy will grant you:

  • 500 groschen

Moreover, he will invite you to return a few days later to embark on a follow-up quest titled “Skeleton in the Closet.”
