Guide to Completing the Kites Side Quest in Split Fiction

In contrast to traditional quests that necessitate defeating a boss or advancing through specific stages, the Kites side mission presents a unique twist — a friendly race between players. Upon initiating the quest, a cinematic cutscene unfolds, showcasing Zoe challenging Mio to this spirited competition.

As the cutscene wraps up, players should press down on the left joystick to sprint and steer right. The next step involves jumping and pressing RB to engage with the hook and ascend to the kite string. It’s essential to maintain balance as you race toward a tower. Upon reaching the tower, continue running straight and perform a jump off the cliff onto the kite.

Once airborne, players should proceed through the circular rings ahead to gain speed. Keep in mind that failing to maneuver through these rings will hinder your ability to stay aloft, resulting in a fall. Although you will respawn, lacking the necessary boost may cause you to lose the race against your opponent.

By skillfully navigating all the rings, you’ll arrive at a floating island, which serves as the race’s finish line. The first player to reach this destination triumphs in the race.

It’s important to note that there are no tangible rewards for winning; instead, players will witness a brief cutscene post-race where the victorious character revels in their achievement. Following this, participants are teleported back to the main arena, seamlessly continuing the core storyline.
