Your encounter with her begins through Dr. Holder at a church located in Wyndham Village. At the outset, Dr. Garrow finds herself imprisoned by the protocol guards in Skethermoor. Your initial assignment is to liberate her. As you delve deeper into her main storyline, you’ll uncover vital information about her, ultimately assisting you in navigating the challenges of the quarantine area.

A Guide to Dr. Garrow’s Mission in Atomfall
Upon delivering Sample One to Dr. Holder, he instructs you to free Dr. Garrow from the Protocol prison in Skethermoor. In return for your efforts, he promises a pathway to escape the quarantine zone. However, following Dr. Garrow’s storyline means you may never see Dr. Holder again.
Step 1: Accessing Skethermoor Prison
Navigate to the Skethermoor region and locate the prison at coordinates (41.1E, 70.8N); the map will assist you in tracking it. Once inside, proceed directly downward to the ground floor and look for the Prison Office, which you can enter by interacting with the button found opposite the door. This office grants access to various sections of the facility.
Inside one of the rooms, you’ll discover a security keycard that provides access to the prisoners’ playground. From there, navigate to the door at the top of the stairs on the adjacent side of the playground, leading you down into a construction area. Stealth is key—avoid detection by the lasers and Protocol guards as you make your way to the Loading Bay, where you’ll eventually come across various cells, including the one containing Dr. Garrow.
Step 2: Assisting Dr. Garrow’s Escape
Upon locating Dr. Garrow, interact with her to receive critical information essential for her escape. She will instruct you to procure the Signal Redirector, a device crucial for circumventing the antiquated security system and facilitating her exit from the prison. Follow these steps to acquire the Signal Redirector:
- Proceed to the Security room located north of her cell.
- Retrieve the Signal Redirector from the shelf.
- Utilize the Signal Redirector on the yellow meter to unlock the Control Room.
- Enter the Control Room, then pull the lever on the machine to override the cell door controls and release Dr. Garrow from her confinement.
Step 3: Exiting the Prison
Once the door opens, Dr. Garrow dashes down the access tunnel leading to the Interchange, locking the door behind her and effectively trapping you inside. Your only option for escape involves retracing your steps back out of the prison. Keep in mind that the guards have been alerted due to the prisoner’s escape.
Beware, as the guards will open fire upon spotting you, potentially resulting in your demise. The most effective strategy is to avoid direct confrontation; take cover and sprint towards the eastern edge of the prison gate. You may endure some hits along the way, so employ health items as necessary, then head north towards the gate of Wyndham Village.
Step 4: Meeting Dr. Garrow in the Interchange
Once you arrive in Wyndham Village, navigate towards the Interchange adjacent to the village church. Upon entering, direct yourself to the central processor area.
There, Dr. Garrow will be waiting. Engage in conversation with her, and she will propose a deal: if you can recover her Research Notes, she will assist you in escaping the area.
Step 5: Locating Dr. Garrow’s Research Notes
To acquire her Research Notes, head to Data Store D within the Interchange. Begin by inserting the Atomic Battery into the Delta Battery Terminal, which activates the system and unlocks access to the Robotics area.
Next, go to Data Store Alpha and enter the infectious spores room. Neutralize this hazardous effect by activating the Atomic Battery. Once the spores are neutralized, use the ladder to descend into the ground area. Once you gain access to the Robotics section, follow these steps:
- Advance straight and utilize the Signal Redirector to unlock Power Control Beta.
- Employ the same device to unlock the Lower Level gate, cutting its power supply.
- Enter the Robot Assembly room and power up the Lower Level using the device.
- Hack into the power box for the Lower Level to gain access to its gate.
Reaching the Lower Level
Make your way towards the Lower Level area and unlock the door using the Signal Redirector. In this area, turn on Console A on your left, followed by Console B. Once these are activated, head to the Head Office where you will find Garrow’s Research Notes placed on a table.
Step 6: Completing the GEN ERA Command Mission
Return to the Interchange by taking the exit tunnel next to the Weapon Testing area. Proceed directly to the Central Processor area to deliver the Research Notes to Dr. Garrow. Afterward, she will instruct you to execute the command “GEN ERA”at the Casterfell Dam Data Store, situated in the Interchange region of Casterfell Woods.
The Casterfell Dam Data Store can be found at coordinates (22.5E, 92.4N). Proceed to this location, marked by the remains of a building. Jump down to access the Data Store’s gate. Once through, navigate straight to the electrical room where you’ll use the Signal Redirector to hack into the meter.
Exit the room, then ascend the middle bunker to reach an additional meter. A control room is situated nearby, accessible by hacking the yellow meter. After entering this room, employ the Dam Data Store Keycard to activate the Casterfell Dam Data Store room, accomplishing one of Dr. Garrow’s side objectives.
Once completed, exit the room and locate a Data Interface Console at the door of the Casterfell Dam Data Store. Interact with it and run the GEN ERA command to fulfill Dr. Garrow’s task.
Step 7: Extracting the Oberon Sample and Completing the Mission

Upon arriving at the Oberon site, veer left towards a set of stairs leading to an office area. Proceed through the building, turning right into a lab where you’ll locate the Extraction Drill Battery Terminal. Here, insert two Atomic Batteries to activate the Sample Extractor.
Collecting the Oberon Sample from the Sample Grinder
Once energized, exit the area and find a control room. Pull the Sample Extractor Console to begin the extraction of the Oberon sample. Next, head to the primary dig site where the Sample Grinder awaits; interact with it to obtain the sample.
With the sample in your possession, return to the Interchange. Dr. Garrow will be located in the lower Robotics level within the Head Office, the same place where you initially discovered her Research Notes. Engage in conversation with her to conclude the mission and uncover a secret passage within her office.
