Secret Source Dragon Idol Puzzle #1
To conquer the first Dragon Idol, begin by utilizing the Tatankasaur transformation to shatter three muzzles. Ascend its body to reach a secluded island. Here, you will face a series of challenges, culminating in a battle against the Dragon Boss. Defeating this enemy not only earns you the Shadows of the Colossi achievement but also a luxurious chest.
Secret Source Dragon Idol Puzzle #2
In this challenge, eliminate the enemies surrounding the lava pond and trigger an explosion by shooting barrels. This action awakens the dormant Dragon Idol. By following the serpent, you’ll discover a concealed cave entrance. Navigate the lava on the serpent’s body and available platforms until it solidifies into rock. Use your Tatankasaur transformation to destroy it, obtain the golden seal, and free the secret source servant, which rewards you with a luxurious chest and the A Lonely Sentinel achievement.
Secret Source Dragon Idol Puzzle #3
Travel to the island situated north of the Flame-Melding Ritual Grounds and solve the local puzzle to collect a precious chest and assemble the Dragon Idol. Completing this task will lead you to yet another island, where players can claim an exquisite chest.
Piece Location #1
Near the waypoint, you’ll find a Matador Monotoo to follow using the Tatankasaur transformation until it settles inside one of the cubes. Hit it to slot the piece into position.
Piece Location #2
To the northeast of the waypoint, you will encounter a pile of rocks obstructing an elevator. Use the Tatankasaur transformation to break them, then smash the adjacent pillar to activate the elevator. Ascend and break the rocks within to uncover another piece.
Piece Location #3
Northeast of the waypoint, find another Matador Monotoo. Chase it until it nestles inside an arch near a device. Infuse it with Phlogiston to awaken the two secret source servants, then strike the arch to release a piece from above. The servants will transport the piece to the location of the Dragon Idol to complete the assembly.
Secret Source Dragon Idol Puzzle #4
Navigate to the southeastern waypoint in the Sea of Shifting Sentience area and promptly transform into a Tatankasaur. Circumvent the yellow barrier to observe a gate that opens and shuts. Time your entry to smash the surrounding rocks. Infuse the device with Phlogiston, prompting the secret source servant to clear the barrier and unlock an exquisite chest.
Accompany the servants to a raised hill, where you’ll discover multiple pieces embedded in the earth. Activate the mechanism to summon a Dragon Idol and ride its back to reach another island.
Secret Source Dragon Idol Puzzle #5
Just north of the Sea of Shifting Sentience is a medium-sized lava pond with a nearby Koholasaurus transformation. Utilize this transformation to approach the locked chest, unveiling a towering stack of Dragon Idol pieces. Use the saurian to smash the tower, creating a bridge to unlock the chest.
Secret Source Dragon Idol Puzzle #6
Upon completing the previous puzzle, cross the bridge to locate a secret source servant operating a wheel with a Flowlight Target perched atop. Destroy it with the Koholasaurus; this action will generate a series of Flowlight Targets over the lava pond for you to eliminate. The last target will lead you back to your initial starting point, and smashing it will unlock an exquisite chest, allowing players to ascend to a higher area filled with enemies and yet another exquisite chest.
Secret Source Dragon Idol Puzzle #7
Visit the Pseudostar Pedestal to find an unfinished Dragon Idol. Here, three locked common chests await, each linked to a missing piece. Collect each piece to unlock the corresponding chests.
Piece Location #1
Start by transforming into Tatankasaur to shatter the rocks. This action will unveil one of the pieces necessary for completion.
Piece Location #2
Confront the lava monster to obtain one of the pieces. If nothing transpires, attempt to smash the cracked cubes within the Dragon Idol’s body.
Piece Location #3
The final location teems with enemies. Defeat the Rifthounds to summon a Tenebrous Mimiflora boss, which appears after the servants shift the last piece into position. Eliminate all foes to complete the Dragon Idol and unlock a precious chest. Notably, this Dragon Idol does not migrate but remains in its vicinity, circling continuously.
