The upcoming update for Marvel Strike Force, titled *Chaotic Storm Raids*, is set to enhance gameplay accessibility and team dynamics. Scheduled for launch on March 27 at 2 PM (PDT), this update introduces a versatile Raid system designed to cater to evolving Alliances and players with different Total Collection Power (TCP). Central to this upgrade is the *Individual Raid Difficulty Selector*, which promotes a more personalized raid experience.
This article outlines the significant features of the Marvel Strike Force Chaotic Storm Raids update.
Overview of Marvel Strike Force Chaotic Storm Raids
The *Chaotic Storm Raids* will take the place of all existing Green Raids, which include Ultimus, Doom, Incursion, and Orchis. Players who have achieved Commander Level 20 or above will be eligible to engage in these new Raids, ensuring that they have continued access to crucial resources. It’s important to note that any ongoing Green Raids will continue to their completion before the transition is finalized.
Participation Options in Chaotic Storm Raids
Players can choose between two distinct options when participating in Chaotic Storm Raids:
- Chaotic Storm Raids: Tailored for newcomers and mid-tier Alliances as well as those with varied TCP levels. This option enables players to adjust the difficulty of each Raid node using the Individual Raid Difficulty Selector.
- Chaotic Storm Raids (Omega): Designed for competitive Alliances boasting high TCP ratings. This option yields greater rewards but mandates a uniform difficulty setting across all standard nodes.
Insights into Boss Lane Features in Chaotic Storm Raids

Both formats of the Chaotic Storm Raids will introduce an optional boss lane open to all Alliance members. These boss nodes will not impact the Alliance’s overall completion percentage, allowing members to opt-out without consequences. The difficulty of these boss nodes can be tailored individually, as long as it is set higher than the base difficulty level of the Alliance.
The *Marvel Strike Force Chaotic Storm Raids* will present six distinct difficulty levels, each accompanied by specific conditions:
- Default: Free from any restrictions
- Difficulty 1: Trait-based node restrictions apply
- Difficulty 2: Requires Green Level 5 Iso-8
- Difficulty 3: Requires Blue Level 3 Iso-8
- Difficulty 4: Requires Purple Level 1 Iso-8
- Difficulty 5: Requires Purple Level 3 Iso-8
Starting from Difficulty 3, higher challenges will introduce unique enemies that impose distinct debuffs on player squads, applicable only during the first encounter at each node:
- Bio nodes – Shadow King (Chaos): Applies *Psychic Scar*, reducing Active Healing by 50% and blocking Speed Bar gain from non-standard sources.
- Mutant nodes – Madelyne Pryor (Chaos): Applies *Cerebral Wound*, cutting Active Healing by 50%.
- Mystic nodes – Emma Frost (Chaos): Applies *Mind Fracture*, limiting Active Healing by 50%.
- Skill nodes – Jean Grey (Chaos): Applies *Psychic Backlash*, reducing positive effects’ duration by three for each ally assistance.
- Tech nodes – Psylocke (Chaos): Applies *Mental Decay*, diminishing Active Healing by 50%.
Rewards from Chaotic Storm Raids

In a significant shift from previous Raids, the *Chaotic Storm Raids* will allocate rewards more directly within nodes, rather than through overall Alliance completion. This change is particularly beneficial for individuals in smaller or less active Alliances, allowing them to receive substantial rewards. That said, the *Chaotic Storm Omega* format will still tie most of its rewards to the completion efforts of the Alliance.
Possible rewards include:
- Gear Orb Fragments
- Raid Credits
- Gold
Using the Individual Raid Difficulty Selector

The *Individual Raid Difficulty Selector* empowers players to fine-tune their challenges on a per-node basis, modifying enemy stats and potential rewards. This feature applies to both the standard and boss nodes in *Chaotic Storm Omega*.
Here’s a breakdown of how it operates:
- Base difficulty selection: Alliance Leaders determine the base difficulty when initiating a Chaotic Storm Raid.
- Personalizing nodes: Players may escalate the difficulty of specific nodes above the established base level.
- Reset feature: Those finding a node excessively difficult can reset it, restoring enemy health and ability energy while maintaining the player’s character status and spent Raid Energy.
- Alliance support: If a member falls in a node, their teammates can reset it for them.
