Located in the scenic Wakasa region southwest of Obama Prefecture, Nochiseyama Castle serves as a pivotal stronghold in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This moderately fortified enemy base houses three formidable Samurai Daishos. Players looking to enhance their stealth gameplay will find that eliminating these guards not only facilitates smoother infiltration but also provides access to the coveted Legendary Chest, which contains the Masamune’s Thorn, an exceptionally powerful Legendary Tanto.
Locations of Samurai Daishos in Nochiseyama Castle
Within the castle, each Samurai Daisho sports unique armored outfits and is identifiable on your HUD by helmet icons. Due to their vigilant patrol patterns and fortified positions, employing stealth tactics will greatly improve your chances of success against these formidable foes.
1) Samurai Daisho 1 – Outer Bailey
The first Daisho guards the northernmost section, positioned within the outer bailey. To take him down, a stealthy ascent to the castle wall is advisable. Launch yourself into the shadows and utilize Shinobi Bells to lure him away from his post, providing a perfect opportunity for a clean assassination.
2) Samurai Daisho 2 – Inner Bailey
Next, the second Daisho is stationed at the center of the castle’s inner bailey, making this location more fortified. To navigate this area successfully, observe the guard’s patrol route and wait for an opportune moment to strike. A rooftop dive can yield significant advantages for stealthy assassinations here.
3) Samurai Daisho 3 – Castle Keep
The final Daisho resides within the heavily fortified southern keep of Nochiseyama Castle. This area poses the highest level of security, making direct combat risky and potentially fatal. If a confrontation is necessary, execute swift takedowns to prevent enemy reinforcements from overwhelming your position.
With all three Samurai Daishos dispatched, players can finally access the unguarded Legendary Chest located within the keep.
Unlocking the Legendary Chest in Nochiseyama Castle
Location – Inner Keep (Near Nochiseyama Tenshu Viewpoint)
The Legendary Chest can be found in the inner keep, adjacent to the Nochiseyama Tenshu viewpoint. Once inside, locate the red chest to claim your rewards.
