In the latest update to *Destiny 2*, the Hull Breach area was introduced as part of the Nether in Heresy Act III. This location operates like a mini open world, teeming with secrets to discover, all tied to the seasonal seal. Hull Breach is one of the Dreadnaught’s more expansive environments, making the quest to uncover these hidden treasures quite a challenge for players.
This guide will comprehensively enumerate the various secrets tucked away in the Hull Breach segment of the Dreadnaught. However, to kick off your exploration, you will need to set your spawn point to Hull Breach. It might take a few attempts to achieve this, so persistence is key until you successfully spawn in the desired area.
Hidden Secrets in Destiny 2’s Hull Breach
1. Discovering Toland
Your initial secret-hunting mission in Hull Breach should focus on locating the elusive Toland Orb. These orbs shine white and have been iconic within the game since Year 2. One orb appears in a randomized spot within the Hull Breach, while another is positioned close to a Skyburner flag.

Once you are near the Toland Orb, it will guide you through various locations before stopping at a designated point. You will receive a loot chest at this point, which typically contains a seasonal weapon.

2. The Dog Chest
From your starting location in Hull Breach, journey to the opposite end of the area. Look for a small entrance leading into a cave.

Within the cave, follow the soft glow of candlelight through narrow pathways until you reach a chamber populated by Taken dogs. It’s crucial to move stealthily—crouch and sidle past these hostile creatures to reach the back of the room where another Toland Orb is located. Approaching the orb will cause a loot chest to appear.

3. Unearthing the Desire Chest

The first of the Desire chests can also be found within the cave where the Dog chest resides. After entering, take an immediate left and check behind the second pillar to find this loot. If you have the “Wombo Detector”Ghost mod equipped, it will help you spot the chest from a distance.

To find the second Desire chest, exit the cave and venture towards the area featuring a cluster of Scarlet structures. Utilizing the Ghost mod will lead you directly to this chest.
4. The Skyburner Chest

Near the Scarlet structures, look for a blue Skyburner flag along with a Toland Orb. If the orb isn’t present, consider reloading your activity until it appears. Interacting with the orb will spawn a Taken Phalanx; defeating it will grant you a special buff.

Next, seek out the cave entrance nearby, proceed inside, and utilize the buff to break through the Cabal barrier guarding the chest within.
5. Locating the Catalyst Chest
To find the Catalyst chest, identify a diamond-shaped doorway located on one side of the Hull Breach. Position yourself facing the boss and proceed to the right.

Inside the doorway, interact with the object. If it indicates “Crossed Blade tithe found lacking,”you may want to consult our comprehensive guide on Barrow-Dyad’s fourth Catalyst for further assistance.

6. Completing Jumping Puzzles
To navigate the jumping puzzles, ascend the massive Hive sword located at the center of Hull Breach until you discover a small ledge where you can safely land. From there, look toward your right to spot a platform.

If the platform isn’t present, consider reloading by exiting and re-entering Hull Breach, as the appearance of the platform is subject to random generation. Upon reaching the platform, utilize your Ghost to reveal concealed pathways leading to the hidden chest.
