In Atomfall, players encounter a vast array of elements to navigate, including diverse skills, numerous weapons, consumables, tools, Training Stimulants, and Training Manuals. Among these, a crucial item to prioritize is the Atomic Battery, essential for advancing the main storyline. Once acquired, these batteries can be used in various machines throughout The Interchange, propelling your missions forward.
However, locating Atomic Batteries isn’t always straightforward. While many games place quest items conveniently near progression points, in Atomfall, they require a bit more exploration. You’ll find some batteries within The Interchange, but discovering additional batteries entails a thorough search in other locations before returning to The Interchange.

Slatten Dale (The Interchange)
Locate the Central Processor Room
Travel to the far northeast corner of The Interchange (coordinates 31E 77.8N) and head towards the Central Processor room, visible when you move northward. Here, you’ll encounter a researcher near a ringing telephone, who is willing to part with an Atomic Battery. Utilize this battery in the Bootstrap System Terminal located to the left of the researcher. Additionally, be sure to collect three Training Stimulants from the nearby device before leaving (check the northwest side).
Slatten Dale (Molly Jowett)
Time to Gather Supplies
Next, visit the Trader Camp located in the northwest (26.4E 79.1N) and speak with Molly Jowett. Inquire about the nearby village, prompting her to mark it on your map for easy navigation. Engage in trade with Molly to acquire an Atomic Battery, keeping in mind that it will cost you valuable goods (she’s not fond of Bandages). If you’re low on inventory, consider hunting down outlaws to gather weapons you can trade. Completing this transaction will progress the “Molly Sold a Battery to the Vicar”lead.
Wyndham Village (Vicar McHenry)
A Favor for Your Silence
Following Molly’s advice, head to Wyndham Village, specifically to St. Katherine’s Church located at coordinates 33.0E 78.9N. Speak to Vicar McHenry regarding a murder incident and agree to stay silent in exchange for an Atomic Battery. He will provide you with a key allowing access to a chest upstairs. Make your way to the eastern corner of the church, ascend the staircase, and unlock the chest to claim your Atomic Battery.
Casterfell Woods / Skethermoor (Castle Ruins)
Delve into the Castle Ruins
Head to the Castle Ruins located in the southwest corner of Casterfell Woods (19.6E 83.7N). Inside, collect the Castle Key from the counter on your left, and use it to unlock the keyhole adjacent to the fireplace in the banquet hall. Navigate past the High Priestess on the upper level, who can be easily defeated without much trouble. After she falls, descend the stairs to retrieve an Atomic Battery waiting for you below.
Casterfell Woods (Billy Gorse)
The Value of Burn Salves
Seek out Billy Gorse located at coordinates 21.5E 89.6N in Casterfell Woods. Apart from offering a Consumables Manual and Poison Bombs, he can also sell you an Atomic Battery. While purchasing both the Manual and Battery may stretch your budget thin, crafting Burn Salves could be your saving grace, as he offers a higher price for these consumables.
Defeating B.A.R.D. Robots
Gather Your Strength
Engaging and defeating B.A.R.D. Robots, characterized by their imposing brown and yellow designs, almost guarantees an Atomic Battery drop. While these mechanical foes pose a significant challenge in Atomfall, employing cover and utilizing ranged weapons such as throwables or Molotov Cocktails can level the playing field. However, be cautious; initiating this fight in Wyndham Village may lead to overwhelming hostility from local enemies. Assess your readiness before diving into battle.
