Complete Guide to Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Stolen Faith Main Quest Walkthrough

Stolen Faith serves as an integral main quest within Assassin’s Creed Shadows, propelling players into the gripping narrative surrounding Wada Koretake, one of the notorious Onryo responsible for the murder of Naoe’s father, Nagato. Wada Koretake bears the physical mark of his encounter with Nagato, notably a severed ear. Guided by crucial intel from Tomiko, Naoe is directed toward The Fatherless Monk mission, which sheds light on further developments.

Armed with this information, Naoe embarks on the subsequent mission titled Stolen Faith. This detailed guide is designed to assist players in navigating this quest seamlessly.

Walkthrough for the Stolen Faith Main Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Throughout the quest, new clues will emerge as players progress from previous missions related to the hunt for Wada Koretake. Access your Objective tab, locate the Onryo section, identify Wada Koretake, and track The Stolen Faith mission.

This quest revolves around the need to recruit Mitsumune, a loyal ally of Kyonyo, the monk you aided during The Fatherless Monk quest. After pinpointing the mission, it will commence.

Locating Mitsumune

Diverging from conventional quests, this mission does not feature a clear marker on your map for Mitsumune’s location. Instead, players will receive hints to guide them:

  • He is situated within Izumi Settsu.
  • His location is north of Amagasaki.
  • He can be found camping near Nunobiki Falls.

To discover Mitsumune’s whereabouts, consult your map and activate the scouting feature (PC: F). This action will prompt a sensor with a circular scanning area. Position the sensor based on the clues provided. Once accurately placed, the objective will become visible.

Steps to Identify Mitsumune’s Precise Location

  1. Zoom in on the western section of Izumi Settsu, where Amagasaki is located.
  2. Shift the scouting sensor slightly north, approaching Senri Hills.
  3. Within moments, the objective will be highlighted. Consult the accompanying image for clarity on its exact location.

Upon reaching the designated area, engage Observation Mode to thoroughly scan the environment. Look for a blue pulse marker, which signifies the objective. Given that the hints referenced Nunobiki Falls, locate the nearby waterfall to discover Mitsumune.

After finding him, a cutscene unfolds where Mitsumune expresses skepticism regarding their capabilities against Koretake’s forces, recounting the inability to protect a sacred statue. He reveals to Naoe that bandits have pilfered the Shinran statue, previously entrusted to him by Kyonyo.

Naoe proposes a bargain: if she retrieves the stolen statue, Mitsumune will agree to join her cause.

Retrieving the Shinran Statue

In this phase, you will need to identify the statue’s whereabouts using the following hints:

  • It has been taken to Senri Hills.
  • It can be located at Toneyama Post Town.
  • It is heavily guarded by bandits.

Activate the scouting sensor once more, positioning it to locate Senri Hills, northeast of Amagasaki. Move the sensor further northeast to pinpoint Toneyama Post Town, which will reveal your objective. Refer to the image below for guidance on the specific location.

As you draw closer to the target area, be aware that it is a restricted zone monitored by bandits. You can choose from two approaches:

  • Utilize stealth to infiltrate the area without detection.
  • Engage directly in combat against the bandits.

Regardless of your chosen approach, enter Observation Mode to highlight the statue with a blue pulse marker. Navigate carefully towards the statue to reclaim it, keeping alert for the heavy presence of guards in the vicinity.

Returning to Mitsumune

After successfully securing the statue, return to Nunobiki Falls to present it to Mitsumune. Following this, a cutscene will reveal his doubts regarding the resolve of his men, with him querying Naoe’s readiness for the impending battles. You will have two dialogue options:

  • I am ready.
  • I’m uncertain.

Opting for the first choice is highly advisable. Subsequently, Mitsumune will request Naoe to take the statue back to Kyonyo, revealing his feelings of inadequacy in safeguarding it. He further instructs her to assure Kyonyo that he and his forces will ally with her when the time is right.

With this, the Stolen Faith quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows reaches its conclusion.
