Clash Royale: Updates on the Season Shop Changes

The thrill of Clash Royale weekly events is a significant draw for gamers. Every new season presents exciting opportunities for players to engage in high-stakes PvP battles. Some events allow participants to test out cards that are not yet unlocked, while others introduce new Evolution cards for creative gameplay. Various formats are available, including Draft, Triple Draft, and Evolution Mayhem, among others.

Traditionally, players could win seasonal tokens through these events to redeem for various rewards at the Season Shop. However, recent changes have left many players puzzled regarding the absence of the Season Shop and how to obtain their event rewards moving forward. If you’re curious about the fate of the Season Shop and the new process for claiming rewards, this guide offers a comprehensive overview.

The Closure of Clash Royale’s Season Shop

Analysis of Season Shop Closure

As announced in the April 2025 update, Clash Royale has permanently discontinued the Season Shop. This change means players will no longer gather seasonal tokens or exchange them for rewards such as Wild Shards, Magic Items, or Coin Bags. Instead, the developers have devised a new approach for players to earn rewards more efficiently.

While the Season Shop motivated many players to participate in events, it was not particularly accessible for everyone. Some players were even unaware of its existence, thus limiting their engagement. In response to this feedback, the dev team implemented a streamlined system.

Now, players will earn crowns through victories in weekly events, which automatically contribute toward unlocking rewards in the Free Pass. This simplified methodology eliminates confusion while keeping players engaged.

Claiming Event Rewards in Clash Royale

How to Claim Weekly Event Rewards in Clash Royale

To claim your weekly event rewards in Clash Royale, navigate to the Battle section, then tap on Pass Royale, located in the top right corner. You’ll find a list of available rewards here.

Each tier requires a specific number of crowns to unlock—typically 10. You can earn crowns by participating in event matches; for instance, if you manage to destroy all three enemy towers in one battle, you gain six crowns. Therefore, to achieve a 10-crown reward, you’d need to win two matches of this caliber. Any additional crowns collected will carry over to the next tier.

Moreover, players can acquire up to three Lucky Drops, daily gold, and cards from event victories, especially if these have not already been claimed through standard arena battles. A significant improvement in this updated reward system is that the Free Pass now offers Wild Shards, making it even more appealing as they were previously exclusive to the Season Shop. Meanwhile, Evolution Shards and the Book of Cards will now be found via Milestone and Community Events.
