Helldivers 2’s Crossover Items: Update Amid Controversy
Recently, the launch of the Omens of Tyranny update for Helldivers 2 has stirred up discussions within the gaming community regarding the introduction of crossover items from the renowned Killzone series. Many players have expressed their dissatisfaction over the steep pricing of these items and their disconnection from the existing Warbond system.
Developer Response to Player Feedback
In light of this feedback, Arrowhead Game Studios, the developers behind Helldivers 2, have announced significant changes to the collaboration process for Killzone items. According to a recent update shared on @helldivers2 on X, the studio will now provide the second wave of Killzone crossover items to players at no cost.
Changes to Item Availability
While the first wave of crossover items will continue to be available in the Superstore at their current price, developers have made an adjustment regarding their availability. Originally set for a 5-day period, players will now have a full 10 days to gather Super Credits necessary for purchasing these items, giving them more time to decide on their selections.
These changes reflect the developers’ commitment to listening to their community and adapting to player sentiments, which is crucial in maintaining a positive gaming environment.
