Beta Squad, one of the most beloved YouTube collectives in the UK, is poised for a triumphant return this March, following an extended hiatus of over eight months. Their last upload graced their official YouTube channel on June 23, 2025, leading many fans to eagerly await new content.
Recently, anticipation soared when Amin “Chunkz,”a prominent member of the group, shared exciting news through a TikTok video uploaded by JD Sports. He announced, “We will be back in March,”further teasing that fresh content is already in the can:
“We will be back in March. Funnily enough, I can give you some exclusives. I’ve been watching back some clips and some content that we’ve been filming ’cause they are gonna come out very soon, and I could tell you right now, you guys are gonna be so happy, man. Genuinely. Like, the videos are incredible. I’m smiling because I’m dead serious.”
Understanding the Hiatus of Beta Squad
Enthusiasts of Beta Squad are likely already aware of their prolonged absence from the online sphere. The group’s hiatus stemmed from a desire to enhance the overall quality of their videos. In June 2024, the team officially announced this break on their social media, stating that the decision was crucial for their creative revitalization.
Kenny, another member of the squad, articulated the need for a pause, saying:
“Ladies and gentlemen, there is no trailer this week. Unfortunately, we are gonna be taking a break. It’s needed. I feel like we’re burnt out on the ideas.”
He elaborated on their reasoning, emphasizing the importance of introspection and improvement:
“We feel like the break is needed ’cause you know, we need to take a step back, to work out the way to improve the quality of the videos.”

However, it’s essential to note that one of their regular collaborators, Yung Filly, is unlikely to participate in upcoming content due to ongoing legal issues stemming from a charge of sexual assault in Perth, Australia. Although Beta Squad has not issued any formal statements regarding this matter, Chunkz indicated last year that their podcast, “The Chunkz and Filly Show,”was coming to an end due to the legal circumstances surrounding Filly.
