While exploring the enigmatic world of Blue Prince, players might notice a lack of an on-screen clock displaying the date and time. However, those navigating Mt Holly Manor have several clever methods to determine the in-game passage of time. To assist players in unraveling this mystery, we’ve outlined a few effective techniques below.
Discovering the Date and Time in Blue Prince

Here’s how to keep track of the date and time while you navigate through your adventures:
1. Utilize the Studio Calendar
- Visit the Drafting Studio in the game.
- Locate the wall calendar present in the room. It contains a handwritten note indicating that November 7 is the First Day.
- Open the pause screen to find your day count.
- To deduce the current in-game date, add your day count to 7 and then subtract 1.
- For example, if it’s Day 10, the calculation would be 7 + 10 – 1 = November 16.
2. Access the Security Room Terminal
- Draft the Security Room first.
- Use the terminal password to access the computer.
- Once logged in, navigate to Staff Services and open the Staff Announcements section.
- Here, you’ll find a digital note addressing Simon with the same starting date of November 7.
- As before, use the day count from the pause screen to calculate the current date.
3. Check the Library Book Slip
- Draft the Library and place an order for a book.
- Upon your next visit, you’ll find the book waiting on the main table.
- Alongside the book, a checkout slip will display Simon’s name and the in-game date.
- No calculations are needed; simply read the date on the slip to know your current in-game date.
4. Observe an Analog Clock
- The Entrance Hall, your designated spawning area, features a functioning analog clock.
- Another reliable option is found in the Den, where classic wall or standing clocks are present.
- If you want to check the time before entering the building, step outside the stairs, face the Mt Holly Estate, and look up at the clock tower situated on the east side. It reflects the current in-game time, which is especially useful during time-sensitive scenarios, such as activating the Time Lock Safe.
