Chairman Of 20-Year Volunteer Group ‘Love Food Truck’ Turns Out To Be Gong Hyo-jin’s Mother

Episode 1107 of MBC’s “Happy Dream Lotto 6/45” , which will air on the evening of February 17th, will feature Chairman of the non-profit volunteer group Love Food Truck Kim Ok-ran.

In fact, Kim Ok-ran is the mother of actress Gong Hyo-jin. Leading Love Food Truck, she has been providing meals to the underprivileged, including elderly people living alone, disabled people and children without food, for 20 years. Kim Ok-ran and the volunteers went grocery shopping, prepared the ingredients a day before then cooked and helped people with moving difficulties eat their meals.

Love Food Truck’ Turns Out To Be Gong Hyo-jin Mother

In particular, during the 2008 Taean oil spill incident, Love Food Truck was responsible for providing three meals a day for 1,500 residents and on-site volunteers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they delivered meal boxes to vulnerable people and people in need anywhere in Korea.

Kim Ok-ran revealed that her daughter Gong Hyo-jin has also participated in helping her with volunteer activities since 10 years ago so she feels even prouder. To her, the most memorable moment when serving food was when people gave them a candy or a tangerine to thank them after finishing the meals. Kim Ok-ran said, “Thinking about people who are struggling, I can’t stop these volunteer works” .

Ahead of her appearance on “Happy Dream Lotto 6/45″ , Kim Ok-ran said, “Love Food Truck is a non-profit organization that carries out activities based on volunteers and sponsorship. I hope to attract more people’s interest and create a beautiful society in which small happiness is shared with everyone” .
