BTS V Reveals New Weight After Two Months in the Military
On February 15, 2024, BTS member V took to Weverse to update fans on his recent status.
V wrote, “I’ll give you a report in the middle of the process. I have achieved 72.5kg. I’ll be back. Salute,”revealing that his current weight has surpassed the 70kg range.
Until now, V had maintained a slim and slender physique with a height of 179cm and a weight in the 62kg range.
Having enlisted through the Nonsan Army Training Center in Chungnam on December 11 last year, V has been stationed in the 2nd Division of the Army’s Ssangyong Unit in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, to undergo his mandatory military service.
Before enlisting, V surprised everyone by declaring during a live broadcast to fans that he would increase his weight to ’86kg’ to build up his stamina in the military.
At that time, he also promised his members, “I’ll bulk up and come back more manly.”

Netizens expressed their anticipation for changes in V’s appearance in the future. Many cheered him on his goal and complimented the idol for being cool and manly.

BTS Military Service
The first member to enlist in the military was Jin. The oldest member of BTS enlisted as an active duty soldier on December 13. He was followed by J-Hope, who also enlisted as an active-duty soldier on April 8, 2023.
Meanwhile, Suga enlisted as a social worker on September 22, 2023.
The remaining four members of BTS enlisted in the military just a day a part from one another. RM and V enlisted as active duty soldiers on December 11, 2023, while Jimin and Jungkook enlisted on December 12.
