Notably, one individual received a fine of 10 million won (around $6,800) for their stalking actions.
“At the end of last year, a severe criminal offense, including stalking, was perpetrated against our artist, which led us to take swift action. We reported the incident to the police, who apprehended the perpetrator in the act. The individual has since been detained and prosecuted. BIGHIT MUSIC Initiates Legal Action Against YouTuber Sojang for Defamation
BIGHIT MUSIC has proactively undertaken legal measures against individuals involved in defamation, personal attacks, sexual harassment, disseminating false information, and other harmful behaviors targeting BTS. The agency’s commitment to protecting its artists has resulted in identifying numerous individuals responsible for posting malicious comments and facing legal repercussions.
According to the latest notice on Weverse, some defendants have already received fines, while others are in the prosecution stage. A number of cases are still under investigation as they proceed through the judicial process.
BIGHIT MUSIC reiterated its resolve to enforce penalties against those who engage in harmful activities. Recently, it was announced that YouTuber Sojang from “Taldeok Camp”has been fined 76 million won (approximately $51,630) for defaming BTS.
“As reported in various media outlets, the first-instance court has determined that ‘Taldeok Camp,’ labeled a ‘cyber wrecker,’ is liable for damages amounting to 76 million won (approximately $51,630). The accused has filed an appeal, and we are actively engaged in the appellate process,”the agency stated.
During the first quarter of 2025, BIGHIT MUSIC continued to gather evidence related to fraudulent posts across various platforms, both domestic and international, fueled by fan reports and proactive monitoring. These platforms include TheQoo, Instiz, X (formerly Twitter), Ilgan Best, Daum Cafes (such as Women’s Era and Jjukbbang Cafe), DCInside (including BTS Gallery and Other Male Celebrities Gallery), among others.
As a result, BIGHIT MUSIC has submitted formal police reports and is diligently compiling evidence concerning malicious posts. The agency is particularly vigilant in monitoring harmful remarks aimed at BTS members currently serving their mandatory military duties.
