However, the year 2024 will compensate for all the nerve-wracking patience everyone had to endure because several K-pop male idols will finally return to the music industry and greet their fans again in good health.

Here are 15 K-pop boy group members to be discharged from the military THIS 2024!

1. BTS Jin

Enlistment Date: December 13, 2023

Discharge Date: June 12, 2024

Being the oldest member in the group, Jin’s military enlistment was one of the most discussed topics in the K-pop community. Given BTS’s colossal contribution to Korea’s economy, the idol’s military service generated numerous discussions on whether an exemption should be considered.

Jin’s military enlistment is also an emotional experience for ARMYs since the idol is regarded as one of the group’s happy pills and the life of the party.

2. BTS J-Hope

Enlistment Date: April 18, 2023

Discharge Date: October 17, 2024

Prior to his enlistment in the military, J-Hope created history before undergoing mandatory service. The icon made the best out of it by releasing his debut studio album “Jack In The Box,”and becoming the first-ever Korean artist to headline the major music festival Lollapalooza.

Moreover, J-Hope also left fans a parting gift by releasing his third digital single titled “on the street,”(feat. J. Cole).

3. GOT7 Jinyoung

Enlistment Date: May 8, 2023

Discharge Date: November 4, 2024

Jinyoung became the second member of GOT7 to enlist in the military, following leader Jay B. The idol’s enlistment news was announced by his agency BH Entertainment, which expressed support for Jinyoung’s military service through a brief statement.
