Quick Navigation

Boruto’s sequel, Two Blue Vortex, escalates thrillingly as it now tackles the formidable threat of the Shinju. This group poses immense risk, capable of annihilating entire realms. Their mere presence ensures that the stakes are higher than ever before, particularly in recent chapters where the confrontations have led to significant losses.

In a significant twist, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has experienced its first major fatalities with the deaths of Matsuri and Ryu in the Land of Wind. Tasked with confronting the challenges posed by Team 7 and allied Sand ninjas, the battles were intense and divided—Matsuri faced off against Konohamaru, while Ryu engaged the younger ninjas.

“You dare trick me, Konohamaru? I will not spare you!”— Matsuri

Ultimately, the battle saw Ryu fall first, defeated by Sarada who tapped into her Mangekyo Sharingan, showcasing her growth and strength. Meanwhile, while Konohamaru hesitated to strike Matsuri down, Boruto intervened at a critical moment, sealing her fate.

Crucially, both Ryu and Matsuri’s Thorn Soul Bulbs will be collected, with Ryu’s bulb enabling Shinki’s rescue and Konohamaru set to acquire Matsuri’s. These departures are indeed irreversible.

Yodo: The Heroic Sacrifice

Despite the significant fall of the Shinju, the battle came at a steep cost. In chapter 21, Yodo, a valiant Sand Ninja, ultimately sacrificed herself to protect Shinki, enabling Sarada to unleash her Mangekyo Sharingan. Boruto’s confirmation of Yodo’s death signifies a heavy loss, making her return unlikely without a miraculous twist in the storyline.

“Did you know Yodo would die in battle, Koji? Answer me!”— Boruto Uzumaki
