Second Preview Confirms Boruto’s Strategy Against Jura in Chapter 22
On the same day, the official Naruto website provided further insights with another sneak peek of chapter 22, which is set for release on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in the July issue of Shueisha’s V Jump.
This latest chapter follows Boruto as he wrestles with his doubts about Kashin Koji after discovering inconsistencies in his mentor’s honesty. Following the death of Yodo, Boruto’s concern for Konohamaru escalated as he pressed Koji for answers. Faced with Koji’s ambiguous responses, Boruto resolved to take matters into his own hands and teleported to the Land of the Wind, ignoring his master’s cautions about Jura.

Simultaneously, in a tense moment, Matsuri had cornered Konohamaru when Boruto intervened, using his shuriken to strike her. This led to a rapid encounter where he engaged Matsuri, displaying remarkable combat skills. Meanwhile, tensions rose at Kashin Koji’s hideout as the Jiraiya clone expressed concern for Boruto’s safety. In the background, Jura leveraged his connection to the Divine Trees to track Boruto’s movements, leading him to the Land of the Wind.
The anticipation heightened as the preview hinted at Jura pursuing Boruto. The initial sneak peek illustrated Jura utilizing one of Ryu’s Claw Grimes to approach Mitsuki and Araya’s location.

As the fandom speculated about the possibility of a confrontation between Jura and either Boruto or Mitsuki, this second preview confirmed that Jura is indeed targeting Boruto in the upcoming chapter. The illustration hinted at a fierce exchange, with Boruto preparing to retaliate using his katana after Jura’s initial assault, only to be countered by Jura deftly blocking with the claw on his middle finger.
