BLACKPINK’s Jisoo won three awards as a soloist at the 2023 MAMA AWARDS
Jisoo wrote on her Instagram story on December 2nd, “Today is a very happy day, as I can see snow and receive good news. BLINK! Thank you for always making me happy. I think this year is a full year for me. Thank you for waiting for my first solo album, “ME!” , and loving my “FLOWER” .”
Jisoo made her solo debut on March 31 with the title song “FLOWER,” thanks to which she won three awards: “Best Female Artist,” “Best Dance Performance Female Solo” and “Best Music Video.” As a result, Jisoo became the solo artist who received the most awards at the 2023 MAMA AWARDS.
The single album “ME!,” which includes the title song “FLOWER,” sold 1,172,351 copies in a week, becoming the first K-pop female solo artist album to achieve the title a “million seller.” Up to date, the “FLOWER” music video has reached 430 million views, making it the most viewed K-pop music video in 2023.
