Overview of BLACKPINK Jennie’s Solo Journey

As a rapper and vocalist in BLACKPINK, Jennie has proven herself to be a talented artist since her debut with the group in 2016 under YG Entertainment. Following the expiration of the group’s contract with YG in December 2023, BLACKPINK announced their decision to pursue individual paths while still being associated with YG as a group.

As part of her evolution as a solo artist, Jennie previously announced the formation of her own label, Odd Atelier, in November 2023, ahead of her signing with Columbia Records in September 2024. Her solo venture began with her solo debut track “Solo”in 2018, and she further expanded her discography with the release of “You & Me”in 2023.

The first song from her independent label, “Mantra,” was unveiled in October 2024, setting the stage for her upcoming solo album “Ruby.”The pre-release single “Love Hangover” featuring Dominic Fike was launched in January 2025, followed by the full album which dropped on March 7, 2025, featuring a total of fifteen tracks, with “like JENNIE”as the lead single.
